“Digital design is like painting, except the paint never Dries”

5 Reasons to Learn Digital Painting This Year

Sharing and getting discovered for your work on the web is so comparatively easy

If you used to paint your traditional piece, you might have accidentally damaged your hardwood floors, furniture, or favorite shirt. You can still not deny that sometimes you would like to skip the part where the mess you produced after each project must be cleared. While you’re careful enough to avoid them,

If, after each project, you have always loved art, but hated the mess that you must clean up — digital painting is your best activity. You do not need to put old newspaper layers on the floor of the tablet.

“The object of art is not to reproduce reality, but to create a reality of the same intensity.”

It’s much cheaper than conventional painting.

Facing it — it costs a lot of money for traditional art media. You must invest in a set of high-end brushes, a range of paints, tints, thinners, papers, towels and maybe even stainless steel.

Most of these supplies are consumer goods, not to mention — this means that every painting needs to be replenished.

Compare this with the first digital picture you need: a computer (which I guess you have, or you would not be reading this article), a drawing tablet, and a stylus. More advanced software like Adobe Photoshop is available for as low as $9.99 a month, with more free open-source software.

You can buy a drawing tablet for beginners for up to $30 and it takes hundreds, if not thousands of pictures (depending on how well you take care of your tools, of course).

Maybe you always wanted to be painted, but were kept by a narrow budget?

The perfect alternative for you is digital painting. It can be a bit of a direct investment, but it works much cheaper in the long run than traditional art.

It’s more portable than conventional mediums and less messy.

You don’t even have to set up a separate studio, digital painting tools are so smooth and comfortable. You can make incredible works of art right on the comfort of your bed or couch with a drawing tablet and your computer.

You already have a portable studio for taking anywhere with portable drawing tablets such as the iPad Pro and the Cintiq Companion. The next time you’re in front of a lovely sunset, you only have to take your tablet away and start painting.

ARTISTS ARE ALWAYS VERY VULNERABLE WITH THEIR CONTENT IN THE INTERNET”

You can participate in an increasing online creative community.

It’s a lot easier to stay motivated when you’re surrounded by people who share your passion.

Fortunately, digital artists are easy to find on the internet. Reddit, Quora and Facebook groups are just some online communities where you can exchange ideas and tips about digital painting.

You might be surprised at how many people are now learning digital painting either as a career or hobby.

You’ve always wanted to be friends with a person with someone whose comments about your latest masterpiece are not just “looks nice,” if you’re the only artist among your family and friends.

Our Facebook group is also a great online community to be joined. We recently started the group and it’s fast filling up with members that are actively involved in the discussion and share their work (nice way, of course!).

Taking part in social media discussions like this is a quick and easy way to learn as you build a network.

“Creativity is contagious,” Albert Einstein said. Surround yourself with enthusiastic and creative people and watch your talents grow incredibly fast.

You are able to enjoy this fun, productive and relaxing hobby in the evenings and on weekends!

Do you know more than a weekend of relaxation? A relaxed weekend AND productive!

You can still learn digital painting as a hobby if you’re very artistic but do not plan to leave your day’s jobs soon. Admit it: it’s a beautiful one to have.

You can produce realistic paintings using the right techniques, which will surprise you even. Imagine publishing a wonderful painting every couple of weeks on Instagram or on Twitter, would your family and friends not be impressed?

And of course, you wouldn’t do it just for the likes. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a creative outlet in which you can relax following a stressful week in the office?

The development of art has proved a great way to alleviate stress. This is why so many people love the works of art, such as scrapbooking and DIY home decoration.

Why not take it higher and do a digital painting instead? Since you will always do art for its therapeutic effect?
