Why Does Procreate Drain Battery Life
I use Procreate and my daughter uses Procreate for many of our drawings. Procreate consumes a significant amount of resources, particularly when working with large brushes and high resolutions.
The fact that the iPad does not last as long as it does when used as a tablet rather than a mobile painting studio is not surprising given the volume of work that has to be completed.
When compared to other applications such as Netflix, Procreate is a strong programme that will consume more battery life.
I would consider looking in the Battery area of the iOS Settings app to see if there are any other applications that may be utilising battery power that you aren’t aware of.
Here are few Effective ways you can protect battery life on your iPad while using procreate App.

So, Does Procreate Drain Battery Life
Procreate appears to be able to operate on practically any iPad, which is incredible. My current iPad only lasts around 3–4 hours when I’m using Procreate, and it drains quicker than it can be recharged when Procreate is running in the background.
Some things that you can use an iPad for are pretty heavy users of the CPU and GPU, which both drains the battery more rapidly than normal and generates a lot of heat that needs to be dissipated.
For Instance while using Procreate, procreate is a sophisticate App which uses significant amount of your iPad batter when on use.
Also, I find that running Procreate for half an hour while doing the artwork on it leaves my iPad 3 without much battery and warm too
But consider that the CPU and GPU are drawing a full-screen map with many pixels about 60 times per second, which is necessarily a lot more expensive than reading email.
Additionally, the heat from the internal components is carried to the outside surface of the iPad pretty efficiently by the solid metal frame.
If your iPad is bare, it should dissipate that heat fairly easily. If you have the iPad in a thick plastic or cardboard case, then the Metal has no air flow past it and can’t provide much cooling.
The heat has to get out some other way (e.g. through the screen) but it’s not going to be nearly as efficient.
And the screen backlight will be a major source of heat itself when the screen is bright (e.g. outdoors during the day).
